A healthcare practice manager's section should show you can own agents safely: decide what they may do with patients, make sure urgent and sensitive cases reach a clinician, and keep the practice's information accurate. You already run governance, complaints and data protection for the practice. This template frames that experience for AI operations roles, with a filled sample.
What do practices need from a manager when agents arrive?
In medical and dental practices, agents may handle online booking, appointment reminders, routine patient messages, repeat-prescription requests and administrative letters. Every one of those touches health data, and some carry safety risk: a message describing worrying symptoms, a request from someone who may not be entitled to the information, a patient who is struggling. The practice manager is usually the person who decides what the agent may handle, which cases must reach a person and how the practice proves it.
That is the agent owner's job, and few candidates have done its healthcare version. The guide on how a practice manager should show AI agent skills on a CV covers how to present it, and what skills an AI operations manager needs shows where the role can lead.
Which parts of your job belong in the section?
- Safety rules: protocols for urgent requests, safeguarding, and who decides.
- Data governance: access rights, consent, subject access requests, breach handling.
- Complaints and incidents: how you investigate and what changes as a result.
- Systems and suppliers: what you introduced, what you checked, what you changed.
- Team rhythm: rotas, daily huddles, reception standards.
Pick four. Healthcare employers are wary of vague claims, so be exact about what you owned and what clinicians decided.

A filled sample
A sample for an invented manager, Hannah, at an invented group dental practice with three sites:
Practice operations, patient safety and agent ownership
Practice manager for a three-site dental group, ready to own and oversee agents handling booking, patient messages and administrative letters.
- Set the urgent-contact protocol so any message mentioning facial swelling, trauma or uncontrolled bleeding reaches a dentist the same session; audited a sample of messages monthly
- Managed data protection for all sites: access rights, subject access requests and the breach log; trained reception teams on identity checks before sharing records
- Investigated around 20 complaints a year; changed recall letter wording after complaints about unclear charges
- Introduced online booking with automated reminders; reviewed its first months of bookings and limited it to routine check-ups after it booked emergency slots for routine work
- Ran a weekly huddle per site reviewing held messages, cancellations and complaints
Certificate: Certified Pryme Operator, issued [month, year], expires [month, year], verify: [link]
The fourth bullet is the heart of the section. Hannah gave a tool authority, watched what it did and narrowed its scope when it overstepped. In governed agent terms, she set the customer's own limits after seeing evidence, which is how authority should be granted.
What about rules in your market?
Keep it short and accurate. Health information is special-category data under GDPR in the EU and the UK GDPR in the UK, and protected under HIPAA in the US. A line naming the relevant law for your market, as one you have worked under, is enough. Do not add detail you are not sure of; healthcare employers notice errors in this area.
Where the Academy fits
Pryme Intelligence Academy's Operator track covers reading the workspace, running the rhythm and what to do when something goes wrong, which match a practice manager's daily oversight. For managers leading larger, regulated deployments, the Builder and Architect tracks follow, each the key to the next.
Questions people ask
Is a practice manager more of an operator or an architect?
Most start as operators who own a workspace. The Architect level is aimed at people leading regulated, multi-agent deployments, which a large group might eventually need.
How does this compare with an office or store manager's section?
The structure is similar; the risks differ. See the CV section for an office manager and the CV section for a retail store manager.
