Employers report pay and tax electronically to the national income register each period, and employee tax deductions follow electronic tax cards. - Reading hours, absence and change forms (depth 1). The agent links each change to the right employee and client.
- Drafting the pay run with agreement-based supplements and pension (depth 2). You check the variance report and every new or unusual element.
- Routine starters and leavers, and simple employee replies (depth 3). Within client rules, the agent processes them. You review exceptions and a sample.
- Releasing payments, changing bank accounts or reporting corrections (depth 4, held). A named person approves each one.
Collective agreements are where agents slip. A supplement that applies only after a certain hour, or a pension rate that changed when the agreement was renewed, will be applied wrongly to everyone if the agent's source is out of date. Which rules shape oversight work in Denmark?
As an EU member, Denmark applies the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689). Article 4 asks organisations to ensure AI literacy among staff working with AI systems, Article 14 requires human oversight of high-risk systems, and Article 26 sets out what deployers must do, including assigning oversight to competent people.
GDPR governs payroll data, which includes national identity numbers, bank details, sickness absence and trade union membership through deductions. Health data and union membership are special-category data and need extra protection. Article 22 limits decisions based solely on automated processing with legal or similarly significant effects, and Article 35 requires an impact assessment for high-risk processing. The national data protection authority enforces these rules.
