Yes, and the daily MTR ride is enough for most of the lessons. A full-time worker in Singapore can finish Foundations in about 4 hours and Operator in about 14 hours of lessons and labs. The deciding factor is the two-week practicum, which needs a short, alert session on most days rather than long weekends.
What do you have to complete?
| Stage | Size | Standard |
|---|---|---|
| Foundations | Six modules, about 4 hours | Free badge, no expiry |
| Operator modules | Eight modules, about 14 hours with labs | Module tests set in your own industry and role |
| Written exam | 40 questions, 60 minutes | Pass mark four in five |
| Practicum | Two weeks of review decisions | Nineteen in twenty correct, no missed red line, signed off by a Pryme assessor |
Do them in order. Certified Pryme Operator is valid for 12 months, and renewal is an update module and a short quiz.
Which parts fit the commute, and which need an evening?
Lessons can be read or listened to as audio, with highlights and notes. A daily MTR or bus ride covers Foundations within a week or two, and most Operator lessons after that. Mark anything with a diagram or a table to revisit at a screen.
Labs run in a free Build workspace and need a desk: you open records, read the bound that decided and make choices. Two weekday evenings of twenty to forty minutes each tends to be enough. If you work late in financial services, try an early-morning slot before the office instead. Module tests come at the end of each module and use cases from your own industry, which makes them quick to read.
What should you know before the practicum?
If your employer does not use Pryme, the practicum runs on a simulated queue in a free workspace. You see what the agent proposed, the sources it relied on and which bound held the action. You approve, decline with a reason, or escalate.
Three things help. Choose a fortnight away from quarter-end, audit or a major release at work. Keep each session short enough to finish alert, because one missed red line fails the practicum. And write each reason as a full sentence; those reasons become your interview answers.
What does this look like for one person?
Take a client service executive we will call Wei Ling at a digital bank in Singapore. She listens to Foundations on the MTR over a week. For six weeks she does Operator lessons on the commute and labs on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with module tests set in retail banking: card disputes, account changes and payment queries.
She sits the exam on a Saturday morning, then works the simulated queue each weekday evening for two weeks. One decision she explains later: she held a card dispute refund because the customer's evidence was declared, not signed, and the amount exceeded the business's own limit for unsupported claims. The certificate shows real decisions an employer can check; it does not promise her a role.
How do Singapore's rules shape oversight work?
The MAS supervises financial institutions. Its FEAT principles (fairness, ethics, accountability, transparency) and its Technology Risk Management Guidelines set expectations for how firms use and control technology, including AI. The PDPC administers the Personal Data Protection Act 2012, which governs personal data in a review queue, and IMDA's Model AI Governance Framework gives voluntary guidance on accountable AI. Oversight work is how firms show accountability in practice: a named person, a recorded reason.
This is an explanation of the rules, not legal advice; confirm how they apply to you with counsel.

For why review work, not clever prompting, is the durable skill, see prompting is not a career; supervising agents is. Where the Academy fits
Pryme Intelligence Academy is designed to run around a job: audio lessons, free labs in a Build workspace, and tests set in your own role. You pay an issue fee only when a professional certificate is issued, never to pass. The certificate is issued through VerifyDoc.ai, so a Singapore employer can check it by number or QR code.
Questions people ask
Can I claim course funding for this?
Do not assume so. Check any funding scheme's own rules before planning around it. Since lessons, labs and tests are free, funding matters only for the issue fee.
Is it worth doing if I might move to another market?
Do I need a technical background?
No. Operator is about reviewing decisions: reading what the agent proposed, checking its sources and bounds, and deciding. The exam tests understanding; the practicum tests judgement. Neither asks you to write code.
