Training teams for AI agents·Definition

What is a recorded session?

A recorded session is a training session captured so people can watch it later. When recordings help teams overseeing AI agents and when they fall short.

A recorded session is a live training event, such as a class, a demonstration or a calibration meeting, captured on video or audio so people who missed it can watch it later. For teams overseeing AI agents, recordings are useful for showing how the workspace looks and how reviewers reason, but they do not prove anyone learned.

Why do recorded sessions matter?

Agent deployments rarely train everyone at once. Shifts, leave and new starters mean some people always miss the live walkthrough. A recording lets them see exactly what the room saw: the review queue, a held payment, the trainer explaining why the agent refused a request outside its role scope.

Recordings also preserve reasoning that is hard to write down. A calibration meeting where three reviewers argue about whether a draft should have been sent back is often more instructive than the procedure itself. Captured and trimmed, that discussion becomes a teaching resource.

How are they used well?

The useful recordings are short, specific and dated against the version of the agent they show. Good practice:

  • Cut by topic. A 60-minute session becomes six clips: verdicts, sources, limits, held actions, escalation, questions.
  • Label the version. If the agent gains a capability or its depth changes, mark the old clip as out of date or replace it.
  • Pair with a check. Follow each clip with two or three questions so the viewer has to apply what they saw.
  • Keep the discussion. The questions people asked in the room are often the most valuable part.

A structured meeting gives you better material to record; the calibration session agenda template and the lunch-and-learn session plan template both produce sessions that cut cleanly into clips.

An example

A wealth management firm trains its client service team on an agent that drafts portfolio review letters at depth 2. The first live session covers why the agent holds any letter that mentions a product the client does not hold. It is recorded, cut into five clips and placed in the team's learning record with a short quiz after each. Advisers who join later watch the clips and take the quiz before their first review shift. The reasoning in wealth management will not scale agents without trained reviewers explains why this matters there.

How is a recorded session different from the agent's record?

The names are close, but the two are unrelated. A recorded session captures people learning. The agent's record is the append-only file of every verdict the agent reached, which bound decided, and who approved what. One is a training resource; the other is evidence that an auditor can use to reconstruct any decision.

A recorded session also differs from self-paced learning built for the purpose. A recording shows a live event as it happened, pauses and all. Self-paced material is designed to be worked through alone, with exercises built in.

Which terms are related?

  • Upskilling: the broader effort recordings often serve; see what upskilling means.
  • Reskilling: training people for a different role, where recordings help with volume.
  • Calibration session: a meeting worth recording because it shows judgement.

Where the Academy fits

Pryme Intelligence Academy lessons are not recordings of a class. They are written lessons that can be read or listened to as audio, with highlights and notes kept by the learner. Module tests are set in the learner's own industry and role, so the check after each lesson does what a quiz after a recording is meant to do.

Questions people ask

Do recorded sessions count as training evidence?

Viewing alone shows exposure, not competence. Pair each recording with a test or a supervised review so you can show the person can apply it.

How long should a recording be?

As short as the topic allows. Clips under ten minutes, each on one idea, are watched to the end far more often than a full session.
