In payments, fraud analysts already review machine output all day: alerts from rules and models, most of them false positives, a few of them real. Reviewing an AI agent's proposed actions is the same discipline with one difference: the agent may act. This section shows you can decide which of its actions go ahead.
What changes when fraud teams use agents?
In a payments firm, an agent can triage alerts, pull the transaction history, draft a case summary and propose an action: release, hold, contact the customer, block the card. Reading and drafting are low-risk. Blocking a card, freezing an account or returning funds is harder to undo and affects a real customer in the moment. In Pryme's model, actions that move money or are hard to undo sit at depth 4, and a firm will often hold them for a person until the agent has earned that depth on its own cases.
Your value is judgement on those held actions, and the ability to tell the team when the agent's triage is wrong. The guide on how a fraud analyst should show AI agent skills on a CV covers this framing.
How do you fill it in?
Four bullets: volume and accuracy of alert review; customer impact (false positives you released quickly, real fraud you stopped); a pattern you found; and any automation or agent you reviewed. Use round numbers. Never include case details, customer data or anything about specific fraud methods your employer treats as confidential.

A filled sample
A sample for an invented analyst, Aisha, at an invented payments provider:
Fraud decision review and agent oversight
Fraud analyst in card and account-to-account payments, ready to review agent-triaged alerts and agent-proposed account actions.
- Reviewed around 200 alerts a day from rules and a scoring model; released, contacted or blocked in line with the playbook, with quality checks passed every month
- Worked to unblock genuine customers quickly, calling back within the same shift where possible, while holding transactions with clear signs of account takeover
- Identified a pattern of small test payments to newly added payees before a large transfer; the detection rule was changed and the playbook updated
- Reviewed agent-proposed actions during a triage pilot; found the agent proposing card blocks on travel-related alerts where the customer had already confirmed travel, because the confirmation sat in a system it could not read
Certificate: Certified Pryme Operator, issued [month, year], expires [month, year], verify: [link]
The last bullet is the one to talk about at interview. Aisha traced a wrong proposal to a missing source, not a bad model. Fixing the source is how governed agents improve: the brief and sources change, not the model's weights.
How should you describe customer impact?
Both kinds of error matter in fraud: missing real fraud, and blocking genuine customers. Many CVs only boast about the first. Show both. A reviewer who protects customers from needless blocks is valuable when agents can act quickly, because a wrong automated block lands on a customer in seconds.
In the EU, payment firms also have to verify the payee's name on instant payments. If you work there, you may mention that you understand payee checks; keep it to a phrase.
Where the Academy fits
Pryme Intelligence Academy's Operator track teaches how a governed agent decides and what to do when something goes wrong, with tests set in your own industry and role. For a fraud analyst, the practicum standard of no missed red line matches how you already work, and the certificate gives a new employer something to check at source.
Questions people ask
Is fraud analysis moving entirely to agents?
No. Triage and case preparation are moving; decisions with real customer impact, new pattern spotting and the improvement of rules and sources stay with people.
How does this compare with a KYC or business analyst section?
A KYC section focuses on identity and due diligence; a business analyst section on designing processes and limits. Compare the CV section for a KYC analyst and the CV section for a business analyst.
