KYC analysts decide whether evidence is good enough to trust, and that question is the centre of reviewing an AI agent's onboarding work. Your CV section should show you can tell a verified document from a customer's claim, clear screening hits with reasons, and escalate the cases that need enhanced checks. Use the template and filled banking sample below.
How are agents changing KYC work in retail banking?
Banks are using agents to collect onboarding documents, extract and compare details, run screening and draft the due diligence summary. Clean, low-risk cases may move fast. Cases with possible screening matches, unusual ownership structures, missing documents or higher-risk indicators are held for a person, who decides whether to approve, ask for more or escalate.
The international standard behind this work, the FATF Recommendations, takes a risk-based approach to customer due diligence and requires suspicious activity to be reported. Agents do not change that; they change who does the first pass. The guide on how a KYC analyst should show AI agent skills on a CV explains what employers now look for.
Why does source trust belong on your CV?
Because it is the language of governed agents and already the core of your job. In Pryme's model, every fact reaching an agent carries its provenance: sealed (from the system of record), signed (a named party answers for it, such as a verified issuer), declared (the customer says so) and external (arrived from outside, such as an emailed scan). A customer's stated source of wealth is declared. A bank statement from a verified issuer is signed. You already weigh these differently; say so.

A filled sample
A sample for an invented analyst, Pieter, at an invented retail bank in the Netherlands:
KYC review and due diligence
KYC analyst in retail banking, ready to review agent-prepared onboarding files, screening results and due diligence summaries.
- Completed around 60 customer due diligence reviews a week for personal and sole-trader customers, and enhanced reviews for higher-risk cases
- Cleared or escalated sanctions, politically exposed person and adverse media hits with documented reasons that passed quality assurance
- Distinguished verified documents from customer statements; asked for evidence of source of funds whenever only the customer's own account was available
- Referred unusual ownership structures and possible suspicious activity to the financial crime team without tipping off the customer
- Reviewed agent-prepared due diligence summaries during an onboarding pilot; found summaries treating an emailed payslip as verified income and had the agent's guidance changed to mark it unverified
Certificate: Certified Pryme Operator, issued [month, year], expires [month, year], verify: [link]
That final bullet carries the section. An emailed payslip is external information until checked; treating it as verified is exactly the error a KYC reviewer exists to catch. Pieter saw it, explained it and got the rule changed.
What should you check before you send it?
Three things. First, that nothing identifies a customer or a case. Second, that your screening bullet does not overstate your authority: if the MLRO decides on reporting, say you referred. Third, that the regulators and laws you mention belong to the market you are applying in. For the Netherlands, De Nederlandsche Bank supervises banks; in the UK, the FCA. A line naming the right supervisor shows care; the wrong one undoes it.
Where the Academy fits
For KYC analysts, the Pryme Intelligence Academy Operator track teaches how agents use sourced facts and when decisions must be held, with module tests set in your own industry and role. The practicum's standard, nineteen in twenty correct with no missed red line, gives a bank a concrete measure of your review work.
Questions people ask
Will agents replace KYC analysts?
They will take much of the document collection and first-pass checking. Judgement on unclear evidence, higher-risk customers and suspicious activity stays with people, and someone has to review the agent.
How does this compare with business or compliance analyst sections?
A business analyst designs the process; a compliance analyst tests it. See the CV section for a business analyst and the CV section for a compliance analyst.
