CV template for AI operations jobs in the UK

A CV template for AI operations jobs in the UK, following British CV conventions, with a filled sample for a reviewer at a consumer lender in Leeds.

Two pages, no photo and no date of birth: that is the usual shape of a UK CV, in reverse date order, with a short profile, achievements and references on request. For AI operations roles, open with the decisions you make, the cases you always hold or escalate, and a certificate an employer can check. A sample follows.

What do UK employers expect from a CV?

British CV conventions are fairly settled:

  • Length: two pages for most candidates; one for some graduates.
  • Personal details: name, town or city, phone, email and profile link. Photos, date of birth, marital status and nationality are usually left off.
  • Right to work: a short line on your right to work in the UK helps if it might be in doubt.
  • Profile: three or four lines tailored to the role, written plainly.
  • Experience: reverse date order, with bullets showing what you did and the result.
  • References: "available on request", or left off entirely.

Recruiters and employers have their own preferences, so follow the advert first.

How do you tailor it for AI operations roles in the UK?

Job titles vary: reviewer, decision analyst, operations specialist, quality analyst, customer financial support specialist. Read the duties for review, exceptions, approvals, quality and escalation.

The UK takes a principles-based, regulator-led approach to AI rather than a single AI law. In financial services, the FCA's Consumer Duty expects good outcomes for retail customers, and the Senior Managers and Certification Regime makes named individuals accountable. The PRA's SS1/23 sets model risk principles for banks. UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, enforced by the ICO, govern personal data. A CV line showing oversight work that supported good customer outcomes, or decisions you could explain to a complaints team, tells a UK employer you understand the setting. This is an explanation of the rules, not legal advice; confirm how they apply to you with counsel.

Where the Academy fits

Pryme Intelligence Academy's Operator track sets its module tests in your industry and role, and its practicum asks for two weeks of decisions at nineteen in twenty correct with no missed red line. The certificate is issued through VerifyDoc.ai and appears on a public register, so a UK employer can check it at source. It is a professional certificate, not a regulatory approval.

Questions people ask

Should I include a personal statement?

A short profile of three or four lines does the same job and is easier to read. Make it specific to the role rather than a general statement about yourself.

Do UK employers still want cover letters?

Many do, and some application forms ask for a supporting statement instead. Use either to explain one decision in detail.

How should I show a career gap?

Give the dates and a few words of explanation, such as caring or study. If you used the time to train, for example on an operator course, say so.
