CV template for AI operations jobs in Canada

A CV template for AI operations jobs in Canada, following Canadian résumé conventions, with a filled sample for a reviewer in retail customer operations.

Canadian résumés for AI operations roles are usually one to two pages, in reverse date order, with no photo or personal details beyond contact information. Lead with a short summary of the decisions you make, list experience as achievements, note English and French skills, and include a certificate employers can check.

What do Canadian employers usually expect?

Most Canadian employers use the word résumé, and a few conventions are common:

  • Length: one page for early-career candidates, two for experienced ones.
  • Personal details: name, city and province, phone, email and a profile link. Photos, date of birth, marital status and similar details are generally left off.
  • Summary: three or four lines tailored to the role.
  • Achievements: bullets that show what you did and the result, in plain language.
  • Languages: English and French skills are worth stating clearly, especially for roles in Quebec, federal organisations or national customer operations.
  • References: usually provided when asked, not listed on the résumé.

These are general practice rather than rules. Recruiters and employers differ, and an advert's instructions always come first.

How do you tailor it for AI operations jobs?

Titles vary across Canadian employers: reviewer, operations specialist, decision analyst, quality analyst, AI operations coordinator. Read the duties. Review, exceptions, approvals, quality and escalation are the words that matter, and each should map to a bullet with a real example.

If you work in federally regulated financial institutions, OSFI supervises them, and its Guideline E-23 on model risk management shapes how models and agents are governed; FCAC oversees consumer protection. PIPEDA is the federal private-sector privacy law. There is no federal AI act in force. One line naming a framework you actually worked under is enough. This is an explanation of the rules, not legal advice; confirm how they apply to you with counsel.

Experience

Customer operations specialist, a national home goods retailer, Montreal, four years - Decided refund, return and delivery exceptions above the frontline limit for online and store orders. - Reviewed drafts prepared by the retailer's service agent before they were sent, correcting tone and policy errors. - Referred repeat "not received" claims to the fraud team with a short written reason. - Took part in fortnightly calibration and helped write the bilingual guidance for new reviewers.

Customer service representative, the same retailer, two years - Handled phone and chat queries in English and French.

Certificates: Certified Pryme Operator, issued through VerifyDoc.ai, valid for 12 months, checkable at source.

Étienne's summary does the work in the first four lines: role, decisions, a red line, a certificate. His bilingual skill is stated where a Canadian recruiter will look for it. Where the Academy fits

Pryme Intelligence Academy's Operator track sets module tests in your industry and role, and lessons can be read or played as audio around shift work. Its certificate is issued through VerifyDoc.ai and listed on a public register by name, credential and expiry, so a Canadian recruiter can check it at source. It is a professional certificate, not a government licence.

Questions people ask

Should I write my résumé in French for Quebec roles?

Follow the advert. If it is in French, a French résumé is usually expected; if it is bilingual, either works, and stating both languages clearly matters most.

Do Canadian employers expect a cover letter?

Many do, and it is the place to explain one decision in detail. Keep it to a page and tailor it to the employer.

How do I show experience from outside Canada?

List it normally, adding the country and a short description of the employer's type and size. Canadian recruiters care about what you decided and under what rules.
