How to become an AI quality reviewer in Denmark

How to become an AI quality reviewer in Denmark: what the job checks, roles in pensions, banking and public services, the EU rules and a 90-day plan.

Quality reviewers in Denmark check samples of AI agents' finished work against a clear standard, score it, flag red lines and explain what needs to change. The roles sit in pension companies, banks, insurers and public services. Danish employers look for consistency, clear written Danish, independent judgement and a certificate they can check at source.

What does quality work look like in Denmark today?

Danish organisations communicate with customers and citizens almost entirely in writing and online. Pension companies send statements and answer questions about savings and payouts. Banks and insurers handle requests through apps and secure messaging. Public bodies send decisions and information through digital post. Quality teams already check that these messages are correct, clear and compliant.

Agents now draft much of that writing. The AI quality reviewer checks it. Danish workplaces expect people to raise problems directly, and a reviewer who spots that an agent keeps misexplaining a pension rule is expected to say so, with examples, the same day.

What changes when agents arrive?

At an invented Danish pension company's member services:

  • Reading the member's question and record (depth 1). The agent finds the relevant scheme rules and the member's history.
  • Drafting the reply (depth 2). In Danish; a pension adviser checks and sends any reply about payouts or tax.
  • Routine updates (depth 3). Changing a verified address or contact preference within set bounds.
  • Changing payout arrangements (depth 4). Held for a named person.

The quality reviewer samples completed work. You check that replies state the rules correctly, use plain Danish, and do not give advice the company is not permitted to give. You check that routine updates matched verified records. And you look for patterns: if replies about early retirement are often wrong, you trace it to the source the agent read and report it so the source can be corrected.

Which jobs can you apply for?

Danish titles rarely mention AI. Look for "kvalitetsmedarbejder", "kvalitetskonsulent", "quality specialist", "kommunikationsmedarbejder (kvalitet)" or "AI quality reviewer". Read the duties: sampling, scoring, calibration, feedback, red lines and reporting.

What an AI quality reviewer is defines the role, and what an AI quality reviewer does describes the week. The wider family of roles is in AI agent jobs and careers.

What skills do Danish employers look for?

Precise judgement, strong written Danish and the confidence to report problems early. Interviewers may give you an agent-drafted reply and ask you to score it, correct it and explain what should change in the agent's instructions.

Editing and communication backgrounds transfer well. A proofreader we will call Sofie, at an invented Copenhagen publisher, already checked text against a style guide and wrote clear notes for authors. She moved into AI quality review at a pension company by showing that experience as scoring against a standard and giving feedback that led to change.

Danish CVs are short, often one to two pages with a brief profile. The AI quality reviewer CV template gives a layout. List any professional certificate with its number so an employer can check it.

Which rules shape oversight work in Denmark?

Denmark is an EU member, so the EU AI Act and GDPR apply. The AI Act entered into force on 1 August 2024 and phases in its obligations over several years. It is risk-based; risk assessment and pricing for life and health insurance and creditworthiness assessment of individuals are among the high-risk uses listed in Annex III, and some public-sector uses are high-risk too. Article 14 requires human oversight of high-risk systems, Article 15 sets expectations for accuracy, and Article 4 asks organisations to ensure staff have sufficient AI literacy.

GDPR governs every sample you review. Article 5 sets principles such as accuracy and data minimisation, and Article 22 limits solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Financial firms fall under DORA, applying from 17 January 2025. For a reviewer, these rules mean checking accuracy carefully, looking only at what the review needs, and reporting anything that suggests a person was affected by a decision no one checked.

This is an explanation of the rules, not legal advice; confirm how they apply to you with counsel.

A 90-day plan to get hired

Weeks 1 to 4. Learn depth, the four verdicts and provenance. Read what a quality check is and write a scorecard for a kind of written work you know well.

Weeks 5 to 8. Complete a practicum of review decisions, on a simulated queue if your employer has no agents.

Weeks 9 to 13. Update your CV with the certificate number and two examples of patterns you found. Apply internally first, then by duties. How you become an AI quality reviewer covers each step.

Where the Academy fits

Pryme Intelligence Academy's free Foundations badge takes about four hours. Certified Pryme Operator follows, covering human review and teaching the agent, with a two-week practicum that asks for nineteen in twenty decisions correct and no missed red line. That standard mirrors quality review work closely. The certificate is checkable through VerifyDoc.ai.

Questions people ask

Do I need Danish?

For most roles, yes, because you review what agents write to Danish customers and citizens. Some international teams in Copenhagen work in English.

Is quality review the same as proofreading?

No. Proofreading checks language; quality review checks whether the content is correct, compliant and appropriate, and whether the agent should have acted at all.

Is the certificate a Danish qualification?

No. It is a professional certificate from a private body, not a state qualification. Employers can check it at source.
