AI agent skills CV section for a customer service representative

A ready-to-copy AI agent skills CV section for a customer service representative in e-commerce moving into AI operations, with refund and returns wording.

E-commerce customer service is where many people first work beside an AI agent: it drafts the refund, the replacement or the reply, and someone checks it. Your CV section should show you are that someone. Use the template below to describe the refunds you approved, the abuse you spotted and the policy calls you escalated, then adapt the filled sample.

What do online retailers need from customer service staff now?

Agents in e-commerce handle "where is my order", simple returns, delivery changes and refunds under a set amount. They draft, and often execute routine actions within limits. Above those limits, or when something looks wrong, the case is held for a person: a refund on an order already refunded, a delivery address changed just before dispatch, a high-value item reported as never arrived for the third time.

Retailers need reviewers who know their returns policy inside out and can spot the pattern behind a single case. The guide on how a customer service representative should show AI agent skills on a CV explains why those patterns are your best evidence.

How should you fill it in?

Think in three categories: money (refunds, credits, replacements), risk (suspected abuse, account takeover, address changes) and customers (complaints, vulnerable customers, disputes). Write one bullet for each, using your own channel mix: chat, email, phone, social media messages. Add a fourth bullet if you have already reviewed a chatbot or agent's work.

Keep values plain and round. "Refunds up to my limit" is enough; you do not need to state the amount.

The CV section template

Order, refund and returns review

Customer service representative in [type of e-commerce], ready to review agent-drafted [refunds / replacements / replies] and to handle cases held for a person.

  • Approved [refunds / credits] up to my limit across [channels]; referred [type] to [role]
  • Spotted [pattern of abuse or risk]; [action] in line with [policy]
  • Resolved [complaints / escalations] about [topic]; [outcome]
  • [If applicable:] Reviewed [chatbot / agent] replies or refunds during [pilot]; [what you caught]

Policies I apply: [returns policy], [refund limits], [account security checks], [consumer rights basics]

Certificate: [name], issued [month, year], expires [month, year], verify: [link]

A filled sample

A sample for an invented representative, Zara, at an invented online fashion retailer:

Order, refund and returns review

Customer service representative in online fashion retail, ready to review agent-drafted refunds, replacements and replies, and to handle cases held for a person.

  • Approved refunds and goodwill credits up to my limit across chat, email and social messages, around 70 contacts a day; referred anything above limit to a team leader with the order history attached
  • Spotted repeated "item not received" claims from accounts that had changed delivery address shortly before dispatch; held refunds and passed the cases to the fraud team
  • Resolved complaints about late or damaged deliveries, explaining options clearly and fixing the cause where I could
  • Reviewed agent-drafted refunds during a returns pilot; caught refunds issued on items returned outside the returns window and on orders already credited through a different channel

Policies I apply: returns and refund policy; refund limits; account security checks; consumer rights basics

Certificate: Certified Pryme Operator, issued [month, year], expires [month, year], verify: [link]

Zara's second bullet links two facts the agent would see separately: a late address change and a missing-item claim. Connecting them is the skill. Her last bullet shows she checked across channels, which is where duplicated refunds hide.

What should you avoid?

Avoid generic lines like "excellent communication skills" in this section; they belong in your profile if anywhere. Avoid claiming fraud decisions; you held and referred, which is the right action and the right claim. And avoid suggesting the agent replaced your job. Say what you checked.

If you are applying across countries, keep consumer law references general. Each market has its own rules on returns and refunds, and the employer will train you on theirs.

Where the Academy fits

The Pryme Intelligence Academy Operator track lets a customer service representative practise review on cases set in their own industry, then prove it through a two-week practicum. If your retailer does not use Pryme, the practicum runs on a simulated queue in a free workspace, and the certificate can be checked by any employer.

Questions people ask

Is customer service a dead end as agents take over simple contacts?

No, but the job moves. Simple contacts go to agents; reviewing their decisions, handling complex cases and improving their guidance stay with people. The guide on what a customer service representative should learn to stay employable covers the shift.

How does this compare with collections or bookkeeping sections?

Those focus on payment plans or ledgers. See the CV section for a collections agent to compare.
