AI agent skills CV section for an administrative assistant

A ready-to-copy AI agent skills CV section for an administrative assistant moving into AI operations, with a field-by-field template and a filled sample.

Show that you check and send what others draft. Administrative assistants in professional services already review documents, diaries and expense claims before they go out, and that is the heart of supervising an AI agent that drafts and a person who approves. The section below gives you the fields to fill and a sample to adapt.

What should this section prove to a hiring manager?

Three things: that you can judge whether a draft is fit to send, that you know what must never go out without a senior person seeing it, and that you keep a clear record. Professional services firms live on confidentiality and client trust. An agent that drafts a client letter, books travel or prepares an expense claim is useful only if someone catches the letter with the wrong client's name in it.

Your CV should make that someone obviously you. The guide on how an administrative assistant should show AI agent skills on a CV covers the thinking; this page gives the wording.

Which of your duties translate?

Look at your week and pick the tasks where you check or correct someone else's work, or where something is held until a partner signs off:

Your current duty What it shows for agent review
Proofreading and formatting client documents Spotting errors in drafts before they are sent
Managing diaries for several partners Applying different rules and priorities per person
Checking expense claims against policy Applying limits and rejecting what falls outside them
Handling confidential correspondence Knowing what must never be sent without approval
Minute-taking and action logs Keeping a record others can rely on

Choose three for your bullets. More than that and the section starts to read like a job description.

The CV section template

Reviewing AI-drafted work

Administrative assistant experienced in checking and finalising work drafted by others, ready to review agent-drafted [documents / bookings / claims] before they reach clients.

  • Reviewed [volume and type, e.g. client letters] for [number] [partners / teams]; corrected [type of error] before sending
  • Applied [policy, e.g. the firm's expenses policy] to [volume] claims a month; returned those outside limits with a reason
  • Held [type of item, e.g. engagement letters] for [role] sign-off; never sent [category] without approval
  • [If applicable:] Checked [drafts / summaries] produced by [an AI tool or agent]; [what you caught]

How I work: [record-keeping habit], [confidentiality rule], [escalation route]

Training and certificates: [name], [issuer], [date], [verification link if any]

How do you fill it in without overselling?

Use your firm's real volumes, rounded. If you have only used a general AI writing tool, say "checked AI-drafted summaries" rather than "managed AI agents". The difference matters: an agent acts within limits and its decisions are recorded; a writing tool just produces text. Interviewers who work with agents will ask, and an exact claim survives the question.

Your "How I work" line is where personality shows. "I never send a client document I have not read in full" is a sentence a hiring manager remembers.

A filled sample

A sample for an invented assistant, Hana, at an invented consultancy:

Reviewing AI-drafted work

Administrative assistant experienced in checking and finalising work drafted by others, ready to review agent-drafted documents, bookings and expense claims before they reach clients.

  • Reviewed client letters and proposals for four partners, around 30 a week; corrected names, figures and attachments before sending
  • Applied the firm's expenses policy to about 80 claims a month; returned those outside limits with a short written reason
  • Held engagement letters and fee changes for partner sign-off; never sent either without written approval
  • Checked meeting summaries drafted by an AI tool during a pilot; caught actions assigned to the wrong person and a confidential figure included in a client copy

How I work: every change logged in the matter file; client documents read in full before sending; anything about fees goes to a partner

Training and certificates: introductory badge in governed AI agents, [issuer], [date], [link]

The last bullet carries the section. A confidential figure in a client copy is the kind of error that costs a firm a client, and Hana caught it. If she takes an operator course later, that certificate replaces the badge line.

Questions people ask

Is "administrative assistant" the right title to apply under?

Search wider. Roles that suit you may be called operations assistant, review assistant or AI operations associate. Read the duties for words like review, approvals and quality rather than hunting one title. The AI skills for job seekers guide explains what employers ask you to prove.

How does this differ from a virtual assistant's section?

A virtual assistant usually works for several clients independently, so their section leans on handling different rules per client. See the CV section for a virtual assistant for that version.

What if my CV is already two pages?

Replace older bullets rather than adding a page. The guide to rewriting an administrative assistant CV for AI operations jobs shows what to cut.
